Per altra banda, una altra llegenda ens diu que quan la ciutat de Roma estava a punt de ser saquejada, uns monjos van marxar en diferents barques amb les relíquies més preuades. Entre elles es trobaven el cap i una mà de Sant Pere<del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">, que l</del>'atzar va fer que arribessin la costa del Cap de Creus<del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">.
